Notes:
1. To modify this kit, the servo motor needs to be front mounted. If the GRC TRX4 servo motor front bracket has not been modified, please purchase it separately.
2. The front motor will interfere with the original plastic servo arm, and GRC TRX4 dedicated servo arm needs to be used, which needs to be purchased separately.
3. The motor teeth only support 32p 13T-19T (the product list includes one steel 13T motor tooth).
4. The kit is only suitable for the 45T medium wave gearbox large tooth model,
while the original 39T large tooth model for the sport model is not compatible.
An additional 45T large tooth part with the serial number TRAXXAS 8053 needs to be purchased.
5. This kit has added three steel teeth due to internal transmission requirements,
and the sound produced during use will be greater than the original factory state. Please do not take photos and do not use this as a reason for return!
Attention: When installing the front bracket of the servo,
it is necessary to pay attention to the installation direction of the servo. Please refer to the installation diagram at the end of this page for details.
Some players have reported that the running sound of the kit is too loud,
partly due to inaccurate adjustment of the clearance between the motor teeth and the gear in the transmission,
resulting in excessive meshing noise.
The design of the new motor base reserves fixed installation holes for the 13T and 15T gears of the motor,
which can greatly simplify the adjustment of the motor tooth clearance and ensure the smooth operation of the transmission system.
(If higher requirements are placed on quietness, users can choose to use nylon middle teeth for the best quietness effect,
which can approach the original factory operating noise level)
After assembly:
The maximum length of the motor compartment is 64.7mm, suitable for original 550 motors and most 550 size brushed motors.
The AXE Mountain Axe 550 motor (66mm) is not suitable.If you need to install the Axe 550 motor,
need to purchase a dedicated extension mounts of Axe 550 to install it.
Common problems and precautions:
The kit comes with a 3.18mm shaft hole for the motor teeth. Adapted to a 540/550 motor with a conventional 3.17mm output shaft.
The Kaishan Axe 550 motor has a 5mm output shaft and requires users to configure their own motor teeth.
The recommended motor tooth specification is M0.8/15T/mm hole.
Not recommended for 13T (the motor tooth sinking table is too large, which may cause interference)
G2 motor front wave box kit+GRC simulation engine radiator effect display:
(Note: The motor front gearbox kit is equipped with a GRC simulated engine radiator,
which requires the modification of the GRC TRX4 simulated top bar metal car shell pillar.)
After using the kit, the standard 13T motor teeth will have a slightly larger gear ratio than the original 11T motor teeth,
which means the vehicle torque will be slightly higher and the speed will be slightly slower.
If you want to approach the original transmission ratio, it is recommended to use 15/16T motor teeth.
